Last Day in Paradise

The SQUAD started off the morning by waking up our island school guides to a beautiful student made fire for to get a warm breakfast of oatmeal started.  Following this in a team effort the crew wrapped the tents off and hit the road for a long ride accompanied with a few great stops at the ocean hole and a nice little bakery in Governor's Harbor which was a little tough for the gluten-free.  At the Ocean Hole we all got some great pictures jumping off the cliff and enjoyed making animal sounds on our descent. Then we made our return to school and had our final snorkel over a massive aquaculture cage that appeared like a massive underwater UFO.  While we were there we were gifted by the presence of many schools of jacks and a very large shark.  We ended the day with a bonding game of mafia in the office building.

As one of the chaperones on this trip I can honestly say the students were awesome, the activities amazing and our guides were inspiring.  Thanks to CEI, all the researchers and the staff here on Eleuthera...What a way to start the summer!

PS: Parents: We really packed the days full, something almost every student cited as something they would like to take back home with them.  Students: take advantage of the moments presented, remember the feeling of jumping in and the
