Trevor Zoo Does Indianapolis - Day 1

The Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA) hosts a large conference every year in which members from around the country participate. This year, for the first time ever, the Trevor Zoo decided to bring two excellent four year zooies - sixth formers Tiffany Hatfield and myself (Sam Iacavazzi). Seasoned conference veterans Dr. T and Ms. Bennett would lead the journey. Unfortunately, as a result of the recent tropical storms in Florida and Texas the choice was made to make the almost 800 mile journey to Indianapolis, the location of the conference, by car. The 13 hour adventure kicked off at 6 AM on Saturday morning with the arrival of Ms. Bennett in the zoo's new van to Pulling quad. After picking up Dr. T we said goodbye to the Millbrook campus for the next six days. Over the course of the ride we drove in four different states and made many snack, bathroom and gas stops along the way. Obviously, being a perfect student, I spent the entire trip doing work and certainly did not play games and sleep most of the time. Unlike myself, Tiffany wasted productive time by napping for a whopping ten minutes. After our arrival at the hotel we were treated to an amazing sunset view and a great dinner at a nearby restaurant - a perfect way to end the day.
